About me
My name is Steve Bassett and I live in the small village of Sompting in West Sussex on the south coast of England with my wife and 4 children.
I took up practical amature astronomy in 2010 and have since moved into astro imaging starting out with planetary and Lunar imaging and more recently trying my hand at deep sky imaging.
I started out with basic "entry level" equipment and managed to achieve some fair imaging results some of which have been published in local papers. I've also been lucky enough to have an image selected for the Sky at Nights "hotshots" gallery and an image published in "All About Space" magazine
I am a member of the Worthing Astronomers. As well as astro imaging I am also passionate about public outreach and assist in arranging events.
